Blue Kite Software develops and sells database application software solutions using the FileMaker development tool on a B2B basis. They are very successful in the Vetinary and Clinical market areas.

The Requirement

Blue Kite wanted a promotional tool for the products and services to attract new business along with a technical support area for their existing Clients.

They also wanted any incoming e-mail contact from the site to be integrated into their existing contact management system.

The Investigation

Wired-i worked with the Blue Kite team to evaluate the existing business process and the enquiry and order habits of their Customers.

A key element to be able to provide a suitable solution was to be able to provide a content management facility so the they could add new products or services, news or events easily and quickly without having to redesign the site.

The Solution

A carefully planned MySQL database to handle product and service data, news and events, and FAQ's was devised to give the flexibility required.

A new corporate branding was designed and built into the dynamic templates for the site.

A public access area with promotional information readily available on their products, servcies, news, events, and contact details was devised, alongside a password protected Client area for software support issues.

Finally, an intuitive, bespoke Content Management System (CMS) was put in place to allow Blue Kite to make the dynamic changes required to the data held on the MySQL database.

The Result

The new website has helped Blue Kite Software Ltd expand its marketing potential and continues to drive new business - as well as keeping existing Clients up to date with new software releases and FAQ's.
